Having written and (self) published a book. It seemed my next logical step was to create a blog. Should writing, publishing and selling books become a thing for me, I need to thank several people who really helped me with my beginnings as a writer.
First, and foremost, my editor, Amanda Kudron. She was there almost from the beginning helping craft the story and resolve plot holes. Then, after the first draft of my manuscript was finished, Amanda had the Herculean task of editing my 75,000 words of dystopian sentence structure into a semblance of harmony and joy. (Really, not kidding.) If you wish to use Amanda's magical transformative powers, she can be reached at 'opportunityknox2x@gmail.com'.
The next three people I have to thank are my son, Daniel Linder, my sister, Nancy Craig, and my good friend, Josephine Powers. These three were all part of my first reader group, who not only took the time to read my (very poorly written) first draft, but they also took the time to offer meaningful criticism.
And, I really need to thank Julie Kirkpatrick. She created an original book cover for me (which I did not use in the digital release - more about that in another post) but her work was so meaningful, it helped inspire me to take this project to completion.
I am going to spend some time in this blog writing about writing. I think the entire process was quite interesting. Hopefully I can take you on a fun, (demanding? frustrating?) journey of writing; from the first sentence to publishing a book, and then on to marketing and (hopefully) selling a book, as well.
